I got a call for Kind Animal Rescue about a box of kittens and adult cats dumped together on the side of the road in Watsontown.
The caller said at least 10-15 with the adults milling about so it sounds like someone gathered up a colony and dumped them elsewhere.
When we arrived they were everywhere! See video here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/mUkS4bva1SA1J6QE/?mibextid=WC7FNe
They were very friendly and since we had no carriers on us we just began putting them loose in my car. It made for quite the drive back to the rescue.
One of the cats I named Lucky was incontinent and had some kind of deformity with his pelvis. On closer examination at the vet Lucky was very bad off and the hard decision had to be made to euthanize him to end his suffering.
All of the other 11 where covered in feces and urine. We bathed the kittens but the adults are too much of a risk to attempt bathing.
They all had multiple parasites and many had conjunctivitis.
We currently have 21 cats and still arent open yet!
Please see our adoptions to adopt one of the Watsontown 11 today!
